Likes:

• His family: despite his sadistic nature, Dameon has a soft spot for his wife and daughter and will do anything to protect them.
  
• Being in power: he did what was necessary to get himself into power and he's not going to let anyone take it from him.
  
• Destruction: well, he is the King of the Vampires after all, so of course he's into destruction and chaos...especially if he's the cause of it.
  
• Blood: it's rich, sometimes tangy, and it keeps him alive.
  
• Giving orders: what's the fun of being King if he can't make people do stuff?
  

Dislikes:

• His family being messed with: Sadistic and possessive by nature, this has shifted into a sort of protectiveness of Marina and his daughter, going as far as killing people or members of other species---even vampires---to make sure that they're safe.
  
• Jonathan: he's a threat to Marina and his position so he wants him gone.
  
• Rivals for his position: there can only be one Vampire King and it's going to be him for a very long time.
  
• Angering Marina: it's just a bad idea all around.
  
• Anything harmful to vampires: well, if they can hurt him, he's not going to like them.
  

Powers:

• Speed and strength: being a vampire gives Dameon an advantage over his opponents, allowing him to catch them quickly and overpower them.
  
• Compulsion/hypnotism: Dameon is able to convince people to do whatever he wants them to do, something that has often come in handy while hunting, escaping from foes, or making sure that his family is safe.
  
• Flying: one of Dameon's favorite tricks, he loves to show off for Marina or frighten his victims.
  
• Illusions: another trick Dameon enjoys. He can cause people to see things that aren't there, though depending on how long he keeps up the illusion and what type of illusion it is, it can weaken him.
  
• Spell-casting: Not a power that he tends to use on a regular basis and not a lot of people know that he has it so it's like his ace in the hole.
  

Strengths:

• Calculating: he likes to think his plans through so that he can cover any contingencies that may come up.
  
• Vampire King/his powers: as leader, he can make the rules and force others to obey, even if they don't want to as his powers allow him to get whatever he wants
  
• Loyal: surprisingly, Dameon is incredibly loyal to Marina and Katia in all respects, even going as far as to only feeding from women only seducing them when it is absolutely necessary.
  
• Determined: if there's something Dameon wants, he'll do pretty much anything to get it no matter who he has to kill or hurt to get it.]
  
• Blood: It keeps him alive---so to speak---and it makes him strong so that his powers work.
  

Weaknesses:

• Sunlight: if he's caught out in the daylight, he'd make a great filler for an urn, so he makes sure that he's indoors before the sun comes up.
  
• Certain objects: Vervain, Dead Man's Blood, Holy Water, and wood are other things that can kill him so he does his best to avoid them.
  
• His family: he knows that they can be used against him so in public he sometimes acts like they are more of a burden to him so that his enemies won't decide to attack them to get to him.
  
• His temper/Impulsiveness: Though he tries to keep his control, there are certain things that can ignite his temper (some quicker than others) and once in a while, he'll act without thinking which can get him into trouble.
  
• Blood: Though this is a strength, it's also a weakness in that if he doesn't have enough blood, his power and abilities are weakened and can be ineffective.
  

Goals:

• To protect his family: Dameon knows that he has many enemies that are plotting his destruction and he does his best to keep them out of the limelight in order to keep them safe.
  
• To destroy his rivals: He wants there to be no doubt who's in charge of the vampire community and he'll do anything to prove it, including destroying Jonathan.
  
• To gather as many species under his control as possible: A tall order to be sure, but hey, Dameon has always loved a challenge.
  
• To get Logan out of Heaven: Even though Logan's not his son, he is Marina's and he knows that to be reunited with him would make her incredibly happy. Besides, if he can keep an eye on the kid, he won't be blindsided by an attack.
  
• To have Katia rule with/after him: This is pretty simple. Despite being a vampire, Dameon has no intention of ruling Yalanze indefinitely and wants Katia to rule after he's through.
  

Fears:

• Losing his family: He still remembers what it was like to suffer the loss of his family and he's vowed to never let it happen again.
  
• Jonathan: To a small extent, Dameon fears Jonathan because the man can be persuasive and he doesn't want Marina or Katia being lured away by the man.
  
• Fire, sunlight, anything that can hurt or kill him: He doesn't fear these things per se, but he des have a healthy respect and wariness of them.
  
• Being overthrown: His rivals will do anything to gain power and he doesn't want to even think about what would happen if he was forced out of power.
  
• Hunters: Dameon's been hunted many times and has found hunters to be cruel and unreasonable. The thought of one attacking his family scares him though he'd never admit it.

• Logan's location: Dameon knows that Logan's in Heaven and is working on a way to get the boy out so that he can make Marina happy as well as keep an eye on him.
  
• He remembers being human: Though he's extremely old, Dameon remembers his human life and uses the memories of feelings, emotions, etc. to blend into modern society.
  
• He suspects Lucius: though the man is his right hand, Dameon has a feeling that Lucious isn't as loyal to him as he pretends to be.
  
• Had planned to kill Marina's husband: self-explanatory. He had wanted Marina for himself and figured killing him was the way to get her. However, the man died saving Marina from zombies, leaving Dameon free to console Marina and be there for her in her grief.
  
• Doesn't actually hate werewolves: Though they're not his favorite species by any means, Dameon tolerates them and has on rare occasions risen to their defense.
  

Personality Traits:

• Stubborn/Determined: He can be set in his ways and will go after whatever he wants whenever he chooses, not caring who gets hurt or killed in the process.
  
• Sadistic: Even as a human, Dameon had a bit of a cruel streak though he attempted to hide this. However as a vampire, this has been amplified and he allows it to come out more, especially if he's protecting his family.
  
• Sarcastic: With everyone but his family, Dameon can be sarcastic and condescending, quick to cut them down or treat them like idiots.
  
• Protective: This is rarely seen by anyone other than Marina and Katia. When it comes to his family, he is possessive and will do anything to keep them safe.

History:

Dameon hardly remembers his human life feeling that these memories weren't important enough to keep, though he remembers killing his brothers and uncle so that he could become ruler. After becoming a vampire, he set his sights on a female angel named Marina. He had plans to kill her husband---also an angel---and then present himself as a sympathetic friend, which would allow him to gain her trust. However, his plan changed when Marina's husband was killed by zombies while protecting her. Dameon was still able to play the role of a friend and a shoulder to cry on, and he found Marina a lot more receptive to his infiltration of her life and were soon married. Shortly after they were married, Dameon cast a spell on Marina that bound her to Earth, making her vulnerable as she could no longer recharge her energies.

Sometime after that, they had a daughter whom they named Katia and despite his sadistic nature, Dameon has been known to dote on the girl and her mother (though this is usually shown through possessiveness and attempts to control them). What Marina doesn't know is that Dameon knows that Logan---her son from her first husband---is in Heaven and he's been looking for a way to bring him back to Earth, which he knows would make his wife happy. Plus, this would give him him the opportunity to keep an eye on the boy and not be blindsided by a future attack.

Dameon also plans to have to have Katia rule some day and he plans to start teaching her the ropes about ruling very soon and then later have her take over. Of course, if Katia doesn't work out the way Dameon wants her to, there's always Logan.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE

Roleplay Sample:

Dameon let a smile grace his features as he silently stalked his prey---a girl who was about seventeen. He had been studying her for about a week now and had just decided to make his move against her. As he followed her, he could smell her blood: rich, lucious....she would make a fine meal. Suddenly, the girl stopped and then cocked her head as if she had heard something. Dameon froze, his senses on high alert. There was no way she would be able to hear him, so it would seem that someone else had had the same idea as him. Dameon frowned as he caught the scent of another male. This was his prey, his kill! Who would be stupid enough to hunt the same person he was?

Then he realized that the other scent was human. So, this human thought he had a chance in getting this girl? Well, this could be fun Dameon thought to himself as his grin grew. He had planned to make the girl a meal, but why not save her for another night? The male smelled much more appetizing. With a wave of his hand, he called up a mist, and he heard the girl gasp in fright.

"Run home," he whispered, just loud enough for the girl to hear. With another gasp, she ran off and Dameon zeroed in on the other man who had been following her. He heard a curse as the mist turned into a fog. Using his vampiric speed, he was at the other man's side in an instant.

"Who the heck are you?" the man demanded as their eyes locked.

"Don't say a word and just come to me," Dameon intoned. Immediately, the man did as he was told. Dameon grabbed him and then savagely bit into the man's neck.
