He felt his presence like a beacon giving off a signal. Samael sat upon his throne, his sword unsheathed and sitting upon his lap as he looked across the throne room, as if in a trance. He had long since ordered the guards away from the premises of the throne room, and ensured that he and his expected “guest” would have much space. It was only a matter of time before Khan felt Samael’s presence on the planet. Felt the Hun’Drog’s return, and would feel Samael’s blade across his many heads. It was eons ago, but Samael felt as if it had only been yesterday, when his own friend and confidant, Khan, approached Samael and challenged his rule. It was because of Khan, that Dragon-Kind had been plunged into darkness for so long. It would only be a matter of time before the Celestial tried to take him again.
Their last fight had been devastating. Destroying the former castle, and much of the kingdom in their wake, but in the end, Samael was prepared to gain the upper hand, when Khan signaled for the other Celestials to strike, siphoning Samael’s power into the stones, and imprisoning him. It was all they could do. They knew that they could not kill him, the power had forever altered him, and he would no longer die the same as regular beings do. He could always come back. No doubt, Khan was the same way. His own power could keep him alive indefinitely, and without fear of forever fading from this realm.
As he felt his presence getting ever closer, he felt as if anything could happen. He knew that the Celestials were still not strong enough to attempt to imprison Samael again, not now, but he know that Khan was different to. Like Samael, he was unto a God now, and had incredible power, that was as incomprehensible as Samael’s. Suddenly, with a twitch of the finger, the doors to the throne room swing open at Samael’s will. Two, massive doors swinging open, with little effort, and that was not even a fraction of the power in Samael’s finger now. Silently, he awaited Khan’s arrival at long last, and what may fall this day.
