History
Merry Lovelace has more than enough reason to distrust the world given her rough start in life; however, she has always been able to find the good in people wherever she roams. When her family were killed in a vampire attack, Merry found refuge with the Brigade to become one of its elite members due to her diligence, innate talent and help from a trickster fae named Duvessa.
Indeed, Duvessa became mother and friend to the growing mage and eventually the two would become friends. Duvessa guided the young woman through the perils of her power and since she has become the Goddess of the Portals (unknowingly). Duvessa has been helping her discover the secrets of her own power with the help of a Celestial Dragon named Teodora and her friend Agatha.
Forces of dark and light are battling for control of the portals and it is unknown which side will win. One thing is certain is that Merry is not a pushover.
