It is very rare for a phoenix to be born and Arcadia is no different, as she was born in Firegorge Mountain, in a crater. Though she was born as a phoenix, she spent most of her life like a human: Normal, oblivious to the world around her. This was however, until her parents took her to Firegorge Mountain, in something they made her see it as a bit of an excursion. While here, Arcadia immediately felt connected to the dragons that she saw here. Her parents however, didn’t give much explanation about what was going on around her. 

After this, Arcadia, whose parents were members of the Brigade, started to sneak out more often to visit Firegorge Mountain and figure out more and more who she is and where she came from, as this is her first birth as a phoenix, instead of the births before with others. While she traveled to Firegorge Mountain, she started getting more and more acquainted with the culture and the language, while she studied Architecture at college to please her parents, that wanted nothing more than for her to be normal. 

Of course, being normal was a bit of a stretch for this young, but will-full teenager that wanted nothing more than to not be normal. She started learning etiquette, nor only that of Yalanzen, or of Phoenix’, but also of dragons, in order to try and understand them better and even briefly wondering if she was a dragon herself. She also started to practice more with her powers and got pretty good at it. Next to all that, she also spent time practicing fighting – hand-to-hand combat and with weapons – and proved to be very patient and stubborn even when it came to finding her borders and showing people when enough was enough.
