history- he was living a happy life, serving as a soldier on occasion for the brigade when one night on a return home. He came to see something unspeakable. A coven of vampires invaded his home and overtook him, not wanting to harm everyone in his dragon form fearing he would hurt his family he tried to fight them off but their numbers were too great. They made him watch as they turned his wife and daughter in front of him.  Not being able to let them live on in this manner, he did what he did not want to do and that was end their lives. Before his plan could go into action the leader of the coven, Julius Romanus who is known for turning Gael Van Doren a brigade member and friend of Maximus killed his family and disposed of their bodies. Not allowing him to bury his loved ones and lay them to rest. Over wraught with greif he felt he could not make proper decisions as the Brigade leader anymore. His only thoughts were to wipe out the existence of vampires. He knew this was not the way to lead and stepped down, offering a position as an advisor to his protégé and fellow dragon Bellator. He continues to serve to this day in this capacity.
