history- Born to angelic parents Ian and Marina he was raised in their ways until he met a lady. One like no other, her name was Autumn. She was a familiar, and she was the most beautiful thing he had ever set his baby blues on. She was everything he could ever imagine, kind, selfless and brave but he didn't know how brave until later on. He was disguised as a confederate soldier and spent his hours helping the wounded as per his fathers request. He enjoyed doing this and it wasn't long until Autumn had joined him in doing so. The two developed a bond which he did not understand was love until it was too late. He had every intention of courting her and becoming her partner when one night a battle erupted very close to home and it wasn't long before their family home was under attack. Three men targeted Matthew and before he could fight back Autumn jumped in the way and sacrificed herself for him, begging him to get away. He obliged her last request and as she took her last breaths went into hiding.
His heart was absolutely shattered. He had never felt such excruciating pain and loss as he felt when he felt the love of his life erase from existence. He left everything he ever knew behind and has been mourning the loss of his love for over 2300 years. He is now a shell of the loving angel he once was, now a hollow depressed being. He has thrown everything familiar away and does not wish to see it back anytime soon despite his mothers pleadings. He has resided himself to the fact that he was never meant to be happy and though he does help others he does it with guilt. For every face he sees he is reminded of what he should have done. He should have saved Autumn and he had the power to do it. He lives his life in perpetual regret and agony.
He has heard rumours that his mother has disappeared and even though he does not wish to, he cannot sit idly by and wait for something bad to happen to her. He has returned to his familys home and will help them find her, then go back into recluse.
