Powers

• Hellfire: Unlike other dragons, Nergal has the ability to spew Hellfire from his mouth. This unnatural fire has an oxidizer effect, which sucks out all of the oxygen in a person’s body as they burn. This unholy, ethereal flame has the ability to affect those that are normally impervious to regular fire, albeit through its oxidizing effect alone. It also has a spiritual effect, as it burns the soul and corrupts the body with darkness. This power is hazardous to beings of light.
• Draconic Necromancy: Nergal has the ability to raise the dead to serve him as mindless, undead minion. Although the power is limited to resurrecting just the body and not the soul, it has the added benefit of allowing Nergal to turn other dragons into Lich Dragons like himself.
• Undeath: Nergal is undead, and thus cannot be killed by conventional means. He does not age, but his body will decay if he does not regularly feed on the life force of others. Due to this undeath, he is constantly hungry, even after he has fed, which is only satiated as he feeds.
• Psychic Vampirisim: Empathy’s opposing power, this ability allows Nergal to siphon the emotional energy from others, instilling despair, depression, and absolute sadness. Although, stronger-willed people can resist it, Nergal has great effective range against those that are submittable to it.
• Flight: Like all dragons, Nergal is capable of flight in his draconic form.

• Shifting:Nergal can shift into an undead dragon form.
• Lich Venom: Nergal’s black blood is incredibly toxic and venomous. Not only are his fangs in his draconic form coated in it, but skin contact with his blood causes instant necrosis, and potential, temporary paralysis that can last between an hour to a day depending on how much made skin contact. Applying Lich blood to a dead body will turn it into a ravenous zombie until the Lich Venom devours its host from the inside out. Nergal’s Lich Venom is also fatal if it hits the bloodstream, killing a host in a manner of hours if healing is not applied. Those that die from Lich Venom in their bloodstream also tend to rise again as feral zombies hours later, but the blood burns through them faster in these cases.

history- Nergal was born the son of Fire Clan leader Enlil and his wife Ninlil. Born into a life of warriorhood, Nergal was taught that through channeling one’s anger, they could accomplish extraordinary advantages in the fields of combat. Though they were capable of magic, and that it was an extension of the body, to use one’s emotions in juncture with forbidden dark magic was considered shameful and the most dishonorable form of combat. Nergal, being curious about the dark arts, traveled the ancient draconic lands during his Rites of Passage, in an attempt to find exiled dragons that knew of such arts. He found and learned what he could, finding that the forbidden arts allowed him more effective range of abilities unlike natural arts.



It was through these dark arts, that Nergal managed to accomplish the trials of his Rites of Passage, and with which he used to kill his parents in order to ascend to the throne. In the events of his rule as the leader of the Fire Clan, he set his newly acquired army out to conquer the other clans. One by one, settlements fell and people enslaved by the corrupt Dragon King, and as time went on, assassins attempted to take his life, only to fail. However, with each try, they got closer and closer. It was then, that Nergal sought to sire a son and daughter. Using his forbidden powers, he managed to corrupt a celestial and for this dragon to give him a child. As a result, he got twins; a boy and a girl. Immediately, the children were placed into the Rites of Passage as soon as they could walk. Over the years, he watched through the shadows as his son and daughter grew stronger, and more powerful. When their trials were complete, they became the most powerful Kaal’s his Kingdom had ever seen.



However, when his son one day disappeared, he had thought assassination, and sought to burn down a village in retribution until his son returned, more powerful than before. When Samael challenged Nergal, his rage overwhelmed him and he sought to kill Samael. However, his son proved to be more powerful than even his dark magic. Nergal was powerless to stop his son, as he decapitated his father in combat.



Nergal’s spirit descended into the abyss, falling for what seemed like an eternity. The Abyss was the fate of many who were dishonorable in life. A virtual void, souls fell for eternity here, void of any afterlife, any form of existence except consciousness in falling darkness. For eons, he fell in the Abyss, no mind of who he was, or what it was like to even exist anymore until he finally felt a “pull”. Suddenly, he felt the pain of hunger again, a numbing cold, and suddenly, virtual awareness again. The first thing he saw was the Demonic Warlock, the Vampire King and Queen, and the Familiar. He was born anew, an undead being, a Draconic Lich. He was neither truly alive, nor truly dead, like Vlad, but also equipped with the powers of Hell, itself, like Corvin. Bound to Corvin and Vlad, they have promised the return of his kingdom, and his birthright, in exchange for servitude to them both. Although he does not like being dominated by the putrid filths of demons and vampires, he will comply until he can free himself. But as fate would hold it, their first target is Samael, himself.
