The Devlin family had a history with the supernatural as far back as anyone could recall. Long before they were forced to leave their home world they fought against the forces of evil. It was a fight that could not be won however as the planet gave out beneath them. Saying their final farewells, the ship took to the sky and their line was transported into the stars in search of a new home. Yet when they awoke on their strange new world they found that it was not entirely different from the one they left. Creatures that preyed upon the innocent remained a constant but in this new world there was an air of mysticism that the earth did not have.

Joining forces with the Fae, the Devlin family was able to fight back the demonic horde and create a kingdom that was safe for the humans. As the founding family of Mythregal, they have always been sought out to protect the lands from those who sought to claim it. Such a proud family, a line of hunters who would roll over in their grave to see what it had become now. Flash forward to current day Yalanze where a man known as Asher Devlin was born to two proud hunter parents. This man was cursed however from the very day he was born, destined to bring their family legacy into darkness and bind it.

As a child they noted his strange growth, he was faster and stronger than other children. There were strange birth marks on his side in a language they could not understand. There was a cost for the aid of the Fae, one that their son would pay for later on in his life. For now the curse brought him all manner of gifts, strength, speed and even enhanced senses to name a few. The others in the family hated him for it, they saw it as unnatural, a curse and they sought to destroy him. Many of the members of their clan rose up against them and that many fell leaving the house in shambles.

It was only through sheer will and the power of his curse that Asher managed to smite his assailants and bring peace to their lands. All of this before he was truly even a man by their families tradition. Such death brought only darkness to the mind of the boy, showing him that his abilities placed him above others. Soon after he reached adult hood, Asher would reshape the human kingdom and divide it. Mythregal, the largest territory belonged to him while the others were to be founded and governed by him through puppet governments. 

With his plan in place he would only need to wipe out the remaining relics of his past, his family, so that he might forge a new legacy. Thus Asher started to hunt them down, destroying them wherever they might be hiding so that he could be free of those who wished him harmed. With time he would forge a new line, a force that stood against those who sought to take what was his. To accomplish this he forged many unconventional alliances yet in the eyes of his people he could do no wrong for it was the Devlin's who led them into the light of this new dawn.
