Her life was anything but normal from the moment she was born, being born the way she was. The first Hybrid child of her kind, forcing her to live a life of secrecy about what she was. She was even barred from being around other children her age simply because her father feared that she would be torn apart once she was discovered. He was not far from the truth, without Mari or Katia knowing he has foiled several attempts on the young girls life which would have otherwise made her feel unwanted.

Being raised for one task only however took it's toll on the poor girl, she longed to be free and independant. Her father however lectured her day in and day out, taught her to hunt, and to kill. She was tortured essentially, told that it would make her stronger, and it did indeed. Despite all of this, Katia grew close to her father in some messed up way, becoming a daddies girl who was rotten to the very core, though she had her moments where light shined through that scorched soul.

It was considered a miracle even that she was able to hold off on killing her own mother. That was one of several things about this hybrid that baffled the court. She was always thirsty, constantly draining blood, however she never bit her mother once as an infant.

Other than that her life has been rather mundane and ordinary. The daily existance of the undead, stuck up, and self centered people who only cared about their own furthered existance. In fact, it was because of this she began to adventure off on her own beyond the walls when she could sneak away, and it was this that taught her about herself. Not only was she incredible strong, agile, and fast but she could also control the damned. Testing an old story parents used to frighten their kids, Katia buried her victim, only to have him punch his way out of the ground as a zombie.

Terrified by this, she put him down, however once it wore off she was intrigued. It was here all of that training kicked in, a young girl was starting to slowly hatch a plan, though it was not yet sinister. She would build an army, one her father would be proud of, and she would be Queen of all Yalanze not just her own people. She would force the world to respect, adore, and love her rather than shun her.
