History: Born to Marek and Ericka Archer, who were both witches but denied their abilities and never practiced it, they were simple tailors, by trade, Jonah was an only child for most of his childhood until his parents had another son, Jace when Jonah was already in his teens. Growing to resent Jace, Jonah would end up bullying him. When Jonah was 22 years old, he played a particularly nasty joke on Jace and the next day, Jace was gone.
Jonah, thinking he had something to do with his brothers disappearance began taking up drinking and sleeping around with any women that would give him the time of day, driving himself almost mad with grief and guilt. He spent the next few years doing this when he met a women named Rinae, a vampire. He thought he was falling for her and had an affair with her. He found out she was with someone else, and they broke it off, but he still had feelings for her. He felt guilty about this cause his parent's did not like vampires that much and he couldn't tell them about it. Still he has feelings for her even to this day.
The affair made him change his ways... just a little. He began studying his witchcraft really hard now, having neglected it for most of his youth like his parents did and he began to get really good at it. Some of his favorite stuff to do is talk to animals. He found out quickly some animals were better to talk to then others. For instance, a crow was really intelligent and had some wise insight, where as he talked to a squirrel type creature once, which just kept asking about nuts.
Though he still drank and slept around, he got much better at controlling it and drank less, though he still loved drinking, he treated it more as a social activity then a reason to drown his sorrows, and he will always have a weakness for the ladies, no matter what. He resolved to find out what happened to his brother at any cost, to find him and make amends, if possible, he now hated when people were mean and rude to others because of what he did to his brother.
Recently he joined the Brigade, a decision his parents frowned upon. They didn't mind him excepting witchcraft into his life, something they never did, but they minded this. He had to join though, because he heard of someone in the brigade that he was related to in some way, this interested him, because they might have a clue as to why his brother disappeared. Plus he enjoyed helping others, fighting the good fight and all of that, it gave him purpose and his parents respected that at least.
He still holds out hope to this day that he will be able to find his brother and make up for what happened in the past.

Roleplay Sample:
Sitting at the bar, drink in hand, Jonah looked over to his left and spotted a good looking women. He smiled at her and she just rolled her eyes at him. Tonight really wasn't his night with the ladies. Downing the rest of his drink he stood up, a little tipsy, he was trying to cut back on drinking, but it was hope he coped, that and sleeping around.
He decided to leave, stumbling a little bit out into the street he spotted someone. "Jace?" He said the name he hadn't mumbled in nearly 20 years. He approached the spot the person went and found himself in an empty alley way. Looking around for his brother, and realizing he wasn't there, Jonah scoffed. Just the alcohol playing tricks on him again. He really did need to cut back, it was making him see things now.
He walked out of the alleyway, shaking his head. He hasn't seen Jace in 25 years, how could it be him? He walked down the street to the next bar, hoping to have more luck there then he did at the last one. He had been to this bar many times, and though he wanted to have fun, he longed for a good relationship for once. The last one he had that he thought would last ended up in disaster, so he was a little cautious when it came to real relationships, but he wanted to settle down, he wanted to have a family.
He entered the establishment and sat down next to the pretty girl at the bar. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. He didn't really discriminate against any women, but blondes with blue eyes had to be his favorite. They were just funner, for whatever reason, at least in his experience. Plus they were the ones that always seemed to have an interest in him to. He smiled at her and she returned the smile. "Hey, I'm Jonah." He spoke to her, his luck may be turning after all.
