Welcome to .hack//DREAMSCAPE. We are a new roleplaying community based on the futuristic MMO-simulating video game series, .hack. At our site, you can roleplay with others, collect in-game money, buy items and equipment, battle with others, and totally immerse yourself in a text-based MMORPG environment.
WHAT IS .HACK?
.Hack is a series of manga, anime shows, and video games for playstation. There are currently two series of games, broken up into a few different volumes. The game that this site is based from is about a boy named Haseo, who logs into a brand new online game called "The World". At first, it seems like the most awesome game he's ever played! He instantly makes friends with a small group that are a part of a guild called The Twilight Brigade. He drew especially close to girl named Shino, who became like a sister to him. One day, that girl was PK'ed (player killed) by a mysterious player within the game named Tri-Edge. Haseo expected her to just log back in.
She didnt. One day later, she didn't. One week later...she didn't. One month later...
Haseo had realized that something happened to her. It turned out that since the day she had been killed within the online game, she fell into a coma in real life. It became Haseo's goal to find who did this to her and find a way to bring her back to her formal self, before it was too late. As he searches for answers, he finds out that others have fallen into a coma--not just Shino. Now, with the help of his friends within the game, Haseo must bring down his friends' virtual killer.
WHAT IS "THE WORLD"?
The World is an MMORPG developed by CC Corp, and available on the Altimit Mine operating system. It is a futuristic steampunk-ish RPG. Within the game, you can create your own character, pick from a list of classes and races, get a weapon, take on quests, make friends, and have unlimited adventures. It is the most popular game in the world, but it is also the most controversial. Since it's release, it is believed to be the cause of many victims becoming comatose.
DO YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE GAMES TO UNDERSTAND THIS SITE?
Of course not. Within the handbook board on the main page, you can find all the information you need! If you have ever played an RPG or an MMORPG, you can play on this site! There are classes resembling knights, mages, archers, and more! You can create a guild, buy items, battle with others in the arena, search dungeons for treasure, and much more!
