She really didn't know what to do now that Dameon was missing. As she paced back and forth she exhaled. Things were holding mostly because few actually had plans for what they would do if by some chance Dameon did disappear. Tighter wards had fallen into place with his absence and as Ironic as it was some of her powers had gotten stronger. It was if Dameon knew that if he ever disappeared she would need her powers to protect herself and her children.

Katia was gone and who knew where she was. Her son, had been born in heaven and something they had done up there had aged him just enough so that he grew quickly. He absorbed things so quickly now it was almost impossible to keep up with him. He had the vampiric speed for memorization and fast growth. It was frustrating and kept her busy. She just had to pray that there wouldn't be an outright coup here and now. Exhaling, she pinched herself to keep from lolly gagging and set to writing some proposals and bills that needed to get signed into law. Nothing she was doing would harm anyone. This was a bill that all had voted on. A rare thing though it did happen on occasion.

After she was done she sat back and tried to relax for a moment and center herself. She tried to keep the loneliness at bay but it was hard.

[Draven]

Christopher wondered inbetween the relm of the living and the dead looking for something to do. Merry was training another group of brigade's future members. And after that last incident of scaring a cadet so bad that she passed out, Chris was banded from Merry's work.

The bad thing about being a ghost was the boredom of it all. It took a lot of engery to be solid and he normaly saved that for when he was with Merry. Staying close to the portals, also boring. It was like recharcing a battery. If he was away from them for too long, he would fade.

The dead were not entertaining either. Always depressed and moody. And you can only drive the living nuts for so long. This boredom was driving him nuts.

Chris faded back to the world of the living as he found himself in what looks like an office but it was not Merry's. A women sat at a desk writting on paper. She was focased so hard on her task. Someone new in town? Just what he needed. Walking behind her he could feel her aura. It was powerful and peaceful. Something he had not come across before. He leaned into her ear and whispard, "Hello." But made sure he was not seen.

He was not sure if she had been in the portals yet. But even if she had, he wanted to make an entrance. "Hello." He said once more.

She sensed Chris almost the second she heard him, her head jerking up as she turned and regarded him with one elegantly raised eyebrow. Years of practice had kept her from ruining her signature and she waited for the ink to dry a moment before slipping out of the office to pass the book to her secretary to be delivered as was her duty, to the council.

"Hello. To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" she asked the stranger before her, polite as always. The assumption that he knew who she was was not one she intended to make, after all if she didn't know him she couldn't expect him to know her. "I'm Marina." she said simply to him as she sat there. She hated all the pomp and circumstance that went with her title and wasn't exactly one for snobbery. Besides, if this ghost got too uppity her daughter would find him. It was just a matter of time. He was in death's realm and she didn't think Katia would tolerate it for long unless he had a very good reason for being here. "And this is Sylthanus." she said gently as she regarded the ghostly gentleman. Inwardly she winced and wondered if she was done with her duties for the day. She flipped open her calendar and glanced through it as she waited for him to settle himself a bit more, her dark eyes curious but not rudely so. Most ghosts didn't bother angels unless they had completed their journeys.

"Chris Ryen," He said as he bowed to her. "And the pleasure is all mine, Marina." He had heard of the vampire lands but never traveled there. He wondered how far he was from the portals. And more important how to get back to Merry. "Seems I have never been to this part of Yalanze before. I have heard much about it."

He woundered how she saw him even before he wanted her too. Her aura was something he had not seen before. What was she?
He looked around the office to try and get clues to his questions. He was not going to just ask her. He learned the hard why on that one acouple of times.

"Pleased to meet you, Chris. This part of Yalanze is rarely visited by anyone with a pulse. Many are afraid that once they enter this place they will never leave it alive and by in large they are right. The vampires don't like visitors usually. They're a very insular people when it comes to what they prefer and in all reality they are less gregarious than the other races on this planet."

She sat back and regarded the spirit, she wondered how long it would be before her daughter tracked him down and tried to absorb him. Inwardly she sighed and wished her daughter had had a better set of choices but she was given a rotten set of cards and was still doing as well as could be expected with them. She wondered what this young man was doing here so far from home.

Chris smiled,"Well good thing I don't have pulse. Am mistaken for a vampire a lot. Must be my fashion sense. But am not sure how I got here. One second am near the portals and the next poof. Am here."

Chris would never let it show but it scared him to just poof somewhere without him doing it. Was someone controlling him? He remembers being in control. He was a prince. And though that part of his life is still a mystery he knows he was in charge.
