Sedaiyus shadow jumped into what he could only assume was the library of the mage quarters however from what he knew most rooms held scrolls, tablets, and books on magic so it was hard to tell sometimes. Sedaiyus wore an all black attire, with a tank top and black vest over it exposing his arms and top of his chest, displaying his tattoos, and giving a darker feel to him. He wore a matching black top had and was even wearing some eye liner. He was feeling his darker side lately due to the woman he was spending his time with. They were are into that whole worship the night and black shade kind of thing which was hilarious to Sedaiyus. Sedaiyus grinned happy with himself and gave a faint hmph "Now that wasn't so hard." Sedaiyus began looking through the books right away looking for some kind of binding spell for a demon as powerful as his mother and a summoning spell that would bring her to him. He was also interested in what ever kind of protection or defensive spells available too just in case. Most of the books were gibberish to Sed or had symbols and drawings he didn't understand. "Come on there has to be some kind of demonic magics for dummies text around here." Sed began flipping through books then tossing them on the ground one by one. He wasn't all that patient when it came to studies so he didn't take any care to keep note of his surroundings or take his time encase he missed something or activated something on accident trying to sound out some of the things he was reading. He finally found something he could actually read though it had little in it that was useful to his situation. Sedaiyus shrugged and was going to take it anyway to see if he could use to for something else but realized he didn't bring a bag or anything. Sed shrugged and moved on. What a drag, it didn't seem like Sedaiyus was going to make any progress here at all.

She heard the commotion in the hall and made her way to where the books were kept, the sound of her sandals making a slight noise as her gown swished about her. She liked dressing well, it allowed her opponants to think she was too weak to be much of a threat. They had no idea how many blades, spell componants and other weapons that could be kept in this dress which seemed to float of its own accord when she moved. Putting her hands on her hips she regarded the mess with a bit of exaspiration, "Would you mind telling me why you are just tossing books about like this is your own personal shop?" she demanded as she picked up the books and reshelved them.

"How did you get in here? What is your name and what do you want?" she asked in quick succession. Her eyes were black with annoyance and her hair flowed softly around her like a brown wave, gleaming and sparkling in the light as she waited quietly for the answer. "This is private property." Good looks or not the demon was not going to get away with walking off with the prize tomes of the brigade while she was living. It was so rude how some demons thought they could walk in unannounced and just throw their weight around like they were someone important. It bugged her to no end.

She tossed her hair over one shoulder and tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for him to speak. She hoped he at least made up a good lie for her time. That was one thing demons could always be counted on -- A good story.

Sedaiyus jumped slightly upon hearing a scolding voice while he was distracted. Sedaiyus didn't say anything at first just watched as what he noted was a very gorgeous woman began cleaning up after him and mad at the fact that Sedaiyus was there. As the womans gaze pierced through him demanding a response. Sedaiyus shoved his hands in his pockets and lowered his head a bit. "You are right. I am sorry for all of this. I didn't intend on making a mess though, its just some of your books are written wrong, they are in some kind of crazy made up language, I thought it would be easier to find what I was looking for. The names Sedaiyus and its certainly a great pleasure to meet such a beautiful woman as yourself. As for what I was doing here, well, I was having some family issues and was hinted that some texts within these walls hold some solutions to those problems." Sedaiyus looked around a moment then back to Merry. He pulled his hands from his pockets and smiled seductively "So it would seem, but I never understood what private property really was though. This place sure is lovely though, without any doubt reflecting the same beauty and elegance you seem to display, quite fitting. I am humbly graced to make your acquaintance though darling. I only hope you are as forgiving as you are stunning." Sedaiyus raised his hands up with his palms facing Merry like one would if they were innocently surrendering. "So what would you do with me my sweet dove? I know that angelic awe that radiates from you isn't your true power. I would wager you could dispose of me quite easily if you wished. Perhaps you could make me your personal prisoner and punish me no? I am not sure if I would like that, i've been wrong on that before though. Maybe you could take me under your wing, teach me some important things my dear mother never bothered to? What do you think? Could you make an angel out of me sweetheart?" Sedaiyus sighed faintly and held an enticing gaze his ocean blue eyes enveloping Merry and his slight devilish grin held as he lowered his arms to his side. "Or perhaps you will vanquish me and save yourself some trouble. Don't fret love, I won't fight back if you try. I could never bring myself to harm a hair on that pretty head of yours, cross my heart and hope to die." Sedaiyus finished placing his hand over his heart for a moment gesturing the statement.

"Demonic family problems?" she asked softly as she placed the last text, ""Our Archivist Isaac will not be pleased." she said as she reshelved each book carefully,

"There has been no harm done. I suppose as long as you leave the library all will be well. We do not generally let non brigade members in here." she added for effect as she regarded him and his charming looks a bit warily, " Such words as those are not meant for a library, come we shall go. she said as she indicated he was to follow her.

"I simply intend to get you out of the library and perhaps to a place more conducive to conversation. You are a smooth talker, Sir and I have no doubt quite accomplished in the seductive arts but this is neither the time nor place for such things." she continued to move forward, her hips swaying and causing the dress to rustle as she moved, "So, tell me about yourself. No doubt your way with words will make the tale interesting. she said as she smiled and looked over her shoulder at him, "Anything else is up for debate."

She did not know were this demon came from or what his true purpose was but she'd find it out soon enough and he was charming. He wasn't her usual type by any means but it would be fun to see what happened.

Sedaiyus grinned and rolled his eyes as he replied a bit more excitedly than his expressions suggested "Alright, alright you can stop pulling my arm. I give in, I'll tell you." Sedaiyus said exaggeratedly pretending like he wasn't thrilled to tell her all about his family dilemma. "Only because I don't have any choice I will tell you the situation I am faced with. You see my father was a innocent hero destined to save this world from everything that is ugly and toxic to this plains beauty. However he sadly fell victim to a horrible and terribly powerful demoness. This demoness was breath takingly gorgeous easily mistaken for an angelic perfection. Not unlike yourself. She practically defines falling in love at first sight. My father had no chance at all, one look and his heart belonged to her. Unfortunately he was only an instrument for her to use for her own gain not unlike most demons. She twisted him and played him like a fine tuned instrument. She tricked him into thinking they were in love. All the while the only thing she was after was power. This demoness was a demoness of desire, very powerful. She could in a sense make any desire physically manifest, She could compel and ensnare the hearts of the purest souls and most loyal men and woman with a mere glance. By far one of the most powerful and frightening demons I have ever come across in three centuries. My father had a son with her which she planned to use to further her power and enslave this world to her will. The boy was frightened and powerless against her and had no choice but to do as he was told. She tried to shape him into a perfect replica of herself and help her rule these very lands and more. But with the help and sacrafice of my father the boy escaped and lived free from then on. I don't know how long she has been around, she seemed ancient, but I know she is still out there waiting to claim what is hers. I wanted to summon her, bind her, and stop her from her treacherous plans. I am not sure her true name, she told my father her name was lilith, I am sure she has many names though. Me however, I simply call her mother."

Sedaiyus said finishing with a nice little twist. Sedaiyus sighed tiresomely and said in a soft tone as his expression slightly saddened"I just want to stop running for once, thats all. I wasn't looking to trouble you." Sedaiyus grinned cheerfully shortly after "But I can hardly say I regret doing it. If I had not I never would have met the radiant beauty before me. I guess I am blessed more than I know." Sedaiyus shrugged and replied to her comments about him being skilled in the seductive arts. "I never really thought of it as an art. I am what I am, thats all. I am very pleased to know you think so highly of my charisma though. Sometimes I wonder if I have any defining traits at all." Sedaiyus continued on with her keeping. Sedaiyus grinned pridefully "Im honored you wish to know so much about me and believe me I could go on about myself until you die of old age which I hope you find a way to prevent by the way, it would be a terrible loss to this world to lose such a awe inspiring grace that you are. But I would give anything to hear about the lovely guide guiding me right now?" Sedaiyus said as he playfully gave a puppy dog eyed look to Merry.

As she moved out of the library with him she listened to his sorrowful tale with interest, the light played on her dress, making it shift from pink to purple. Her sandaled feet moved with a dancer's grace as she slowed her pace to listen to him. Her dark chestnut curls gleamed in the light as they caught the sun and the red in it shown with an inner fire, "It would seem like you are in need of assistance. For a small fee or favor you can get the Brigade to assist you in your endeavors." she offered softly as she regarded him with her deep brown eyes.

"Well you can always seek refuge in the Brigade or in the Vampiric lands. I'm sure that either would be willing to assist you in your family troubles." she said to his comment of resting and not having to run, she paused at a picnic bench under a tree before sitting down delicately on the bench, smoothing her skirts out with a hand as she looked at him with a slight flush to her cheeks, "Now now...my life and name are of no interest to a man as suave in the worldly ways such as yourself. No doubt you will forget my name as soon as you hear it." she said with a gentle shrug of her shoulders, "I do not give my name to just anyone, Sir. I too am being hunted by a man who is very powerful. Powerful enough to have my family murdered to get to me easier. It is...a painful subject." she said as she looked away at the tree they sat under.

It had been a very long time since she thought of her parents, much less the day they were killed and those leading up to it. She'd noticed the mayors stares and long looks but had assumed they were because of a good natured curiosity. She'd dressed more modestly then, and tried not to get to much attention. It hadn't worked. It just made the mayor more inclined to make her part of his collection of people that owed him favors. She shook her head and sighed, clearing it.

Sedaiyus toyed with the idea of hiring the brigade but he didn't like paying for things. He considered seeking aid from the vampire but he equally hated owing favors to such long lived and unpredictable creatures. Sedaiyus smiled appreciatively at the advice "Perhaps, but I have a strange feeling that only I can defeat her without falling victim to her power. But if I am in fact as immune to her charms as I believe, well, she does have a more powerful hold over me. One I don't understand nor care to but one I certainly don't like. What ever the connection between us, the hate I feel, and the vengeance I seek in honor of my father. I don't believe it will be enough. How could I possibly strike down my own mother? No matter her faults, she is what she is. The same as I." Sedaiyus said describing the natural bond between a son and mother. The unconditional love he loathed and had trouble comprehending. Sedaiyus sat under the tree with Merry. He grinned happily as he listened to her own troubled. "Ahh, it seems you are not without troubles of your own. It is most unfortunate to hear. But surely a woman of your power and resources could put an end to such a man could you not? What this man did to your family seems quite wasteful if you are any reflection of them. I find it disturbing when such beaty is ripped from the world prematurely. Should you ever wish me to speak to this gentlemen on your behalf which could lead to any number of things happening, I would. If only to learn more about you. And you don't give yourself enough credit darling. You are more than a simple prize in my eyes. You will not be forgotten so easily I assure you of that."

Sedaiyus stared at Merry hypnotically "You are positive you are not an angel? There is something I don't understand. It seems insane you have not found someone to settle down with. One would have to be in fact insane to not notice such divine pulchritude. It must be a struggle for you day to day, fighting the hordes of suitors off with a broomstick. I can't imagine how you manage." Sedaiyus looked up to the sky and flickered his hand back and fourth creating hearts in the sky as he laughed light heartedly. "Its the small things in life that seem to bring the most beauty though. To think a man such as myself that has traveled the world far and wide seeking appeal from all this world has to offer would be perfectly content to sit here, in this moment, with you, well it seems worthwhile." Sedaiyus said as he continued on playfully. "Have you ever been in love before Merry? Its a strange concept that has perplexed me greatly in my time alive. The amount of pain and weakness that comes from it seems unbearable and hardly worth the effort. But its regarded as one of the most powerful forces in the world. How could something so unnatural be so contradicting to itself. Is it not love that wars are waged over to gain the hearts of woman or avenge the loss of one? It seems as equally destructive as it is praised. Or do I have it wrong you think?" Sedaiyus had a pondering look on his face as he moved his finger across the sky making a smiley face

"I understand." the young brunette nodded, her curls bouncing as she moved. She didn't wish to say more because the memories of her family were sad ones and she did not wish to speak on it. She ran a hand through her hair casually. Letting it fall in a perfumed wave as she kept moving.

"He lusted after me and he was married. Never a good combination. A very dangerous combination if truth be told. There were rumors that his wife was consorting with vampires. It would have ended in my destruction but at least the way I chose meant I wasn't a puppet for him." she clicked her tongue playfully, "Now now telling secrets is bad. And you would so forget me." she giggled, stroking his ego a bit, "Demons can't be responsible for their wandering eyes or libidos its just how you are." she added kindly enough, "Besides, if I sleep with you then everyone else will demand I sleep with them and then I'd never get any real work done." she waved her hand airily, "No, tis far better to sleep with no one than have to choose who to keep in my bed. I have enough things to worry about."


"Oh you have no idea! Its a nightmare. I can't bend down and so help me if one more person accidently drops a book to look down my dress I'm going to scream." she grinned happily and relaxed, "You do very lovely illusions, Sedaiyus but you need not use such to entertain me. I am a simple person at heart." she said as she relaxed and leaned back.

"You guessed my name! See you ARE better at knowing things than you let on you tease." she watched as he made patterns in the sky, "I have not had the pleasure of love but I do enjoy life for what it holds. You would find me quite boring after a romp I assure you. My tendancy to babble on would grate on your nerves no doubt. A demon such as yourself must have plenty to keep himself occupied and plenty of people to do so as well."

Sedaiyus sighed as he gave into Merry's insistency. "Well, I suppose you are right. It is a curse I must bare. To live so long means to watch those you cherish and adore fade from the world and then slowly from existence as new experiences flood and overwhelm those memories. But I do say, I would not forget purposefully nor would I look forward to the day that such a marvelous woman such as yourself escapes my mind." Sedaiyus smiled impishly as he laid himself next to Merry with his eyes gazing up at hers. "[color=redNo love I am afraid that I disagree with you on that. I am who I am because it is what I choose to be, not because of what I am.[/color]" Sedaiyus ended his illusions and shrugged slightly as his head rest on his hand. "I suppose you are right. I just like to see that beautiful smile of yours thats all." Sedaiyus smile changed to a smaller grin but it was apparent he was pleased as she insisted he had guessed her name. "No darling, I am afraid I have been bad. I would never guess, no, guessing implies risk, and I dare not risk being wrong. Not when it comes to you. No, instead I simply cheated. Used a bit of charm on some folks here. I couldn't help myself, it was driving me crazy an effect you seem to be naturally good at. You know you people like you are rarer than you think. You are much more special than just a simple person you know. Don't believe anything otherwise as it would be most untrue." Sedaiyus held back a small chuckle the best he could. "I don't understand why people are so bent on monogamy. Why would you sleeping with me have to effect anyone else first off. Your desires are your own to choose, no one else needs to know such things or trifle with them. And why must you choose one? To limit oneself and minimize the pleasures of this world is to deny yourself some of the splendid gifts that are rightfully yours to take. But it is quite interesting that you draw such a....specific conclusion to my intentions and how you see our wonderful evening ended." Sedaiyus finished as he raised a brow.

"I am a man of many talent angel, truly you can't believe my only goal is to bed you? I would have hoped you could move past my whole demonic heritage and see just a man who wishes to make you happy, nothing more. To share what I have seen and learned in my travels with a remarkable woman who otherwise holds responsibility too important to experience such things herself. Sedaiyus smiled and gave an amusing chuckle. "Boring?Oh dear Merry you would be wrong. I could listen to you babble all day and never get tired of hearing your dulcet voice. And you are right that there are plenty of other things for someone like me to be doing, people to meet, things to see. Yet here I am and here I stay for a reason. I choose to stay here because I find you astonishing and intriguing. It isn't everyday you meet someone that makes you want to try a little harder and work a little more to grasp but a few more moments with them because those moments you find to be the most enjoyable. It is a rare gift you have and I dread the day you might doubt this."

"Thankfully I do not age all that much." she stated with a light shrug of her shoulders, "And I have a better than average memory." she winks at the lust demon. Keeping up the lighthearted talk with him.

"Well at least you are being honest." she said as she relaxed back and wiggled her toes, the polish on them shifting slightly with a pearlecent gleam from pink to purple. Ahh I thought that had been the case." she chuckled at his admission, "No harm done anyway. As for why I draw such a conclusion, well I'm not a young girl any more. My parents deaths ended any naievitae I had about what some men want and the gleam in your eye suggests you crave quite a few things." she murmured to him softly. She listens to his tale, letting the sun warm her in its natural glow, her head tilted in curiosity.

"Its nice to know a man who can cook. Tis a valuable asset if you can cook for yourself and no doubt makes you even more irresistible too."
Merry smiled and gave an amusing chuckle. "Unfortunately I must be careful what I eat. I have...well some modern Yalanzens call it a gluten allergy. I can't eat bread products or I become very ill." she shrugs her shoulders gently and smiles at him, "If you keep flattering me like that I shall die of a sugar induced coma. I am no more deserving of praise than any other woman or man that graces this land."

She waves her hand good naturedly, "I just wish to enjoy the day and relax. My needs are simple, Sedaiyus. It makes it easier for me to meet them given my workload." she states gently as she stretches out. The dress hugging her curves as she does so. Seemingly at ease with the charming demon.

Sedaiyus sat up eye level with Merry. "So extraordinary I had come to find but simple text that would have most likely ended in my impeded doom regardless of whether I got the spell right or not and instead I find sweet sweet perfection in the most unexpected form." Sedaiyus said as he gently caressed her cheek then brushed her hair back behind her ear so he could see her eyes more clearly. "If I were to rid you of this man you seem to fear so much and if you found someone to help with your mages would you come away with me for a little while? I could show you things you would never find here or in a book or text. You would be perfectly safe and could return at any time you desired though once you begin to see the world as I do I don't know how much you would desire to return. Think of all the things you could learn and come back and teach to your pupils and apprentices. The brigade would only benefit I assure you. I could teach you so much as could you teach me. I am quite horrific at even the most basic of witchcraft and spells but my father was part witch. I suppose I would be a hopeless cause as my inherited gifts were somewhat lacking from his side of the family but it might prove humorous to watch me mess it up if nothing else." Sedaiyus looked to where the main area of the brigade was. Sedaiyus removed his hat and placed it on his chest as he rested his head on Merry's lap.

Sedaiyus then questioned "Tell me this love, I would wager more than three quarters of your brigade would have struck me down the moment they found out what I was. Why not you? And The brigade is made up of multiple sections working together based on their gifts. You are the leader of the mages and all magical dominion within the brigade. Then there are other sections as well. You are however mercenaries and not one job would require the assistance of every section. Well unless someone was willing to pay the hefty price of sending the brigade to war against someone but it could be debated the price of such a request could be used just as easily to fund and train a nations army themselves unless time was a factor. I digress, do all of you get along I wonder? Many swordsman I have met find magic insulting to a warrior as it can be seen as trickery and cowardice instead of skill. Though we both know thats not the case its certainly a viewpoint. Allot of mages don't like thieves or assassins because they always seem to be sneaky and hiding things and mages curiosity for knowledge often leads a yearning for them to understand what people are doing which they might find hard to do to the more rogue classes that shroud themselves in mystery leading to distrust. How in the world do you all live together let alone work together? Also I applaud the diversity but why do I see a lack of vampire then? Would you allow for vampire to roam in your halls in the mage quarters?"

Sedaiyus sighed and faintly chuckled "I apologize, I am bombarding you with questions and complicated matter after you just got done telling me you wished to relax. I am still young and when I find something fascinatingly wonderful and beautiful I am drawn to it and can lose myself in it for days. Those of my kind might consider me barely a young adult not yet rid of my childish manner. Though most of my kind are depressing satanist who don't have a very good sense of humor or appreciation for the things around them. It is most troubling to be so different among your kind as I am. I don't really fit in even among others like me. I once tried to travel with a incubus for awhile but he was mostly just interested in feeding off people until they died, it was quite saddening, he took many beautiful things from this world before their time. I was much more naive back then though, still grasping to find something of meaning to hold onto and follow after breaking away from my mothers grasp. But I am glad I was given a chance to grow and change and open my eyes to more glorious things. And look where I ended up, stumbled upon the most beautiful brigade member there is. How marvelous how things work out sometimes."

"Silver tongued devil." she said with a soft smile as she enjoyed the caress. Her eyes showing a contented look within them and her general good nature. She tended not to dwell on the negative and focused more on the good things in life.

Looking down at Sedaiyus she couldn't help but chuckle, "You flatter me yet again. I don't desire anyone's death and I'm happy here. I have no doubt you could teach me a great deal but I could not in good conscious keep you to myself for the time that would require. You strike me as a free spirit and one who deserves far better than myself. To hold your attention for even this long is a blessing I am not worthy of."

"Because every magical being has the right to be as their nature dictates. Its not my place or right to teach only certain types of magic or to tell those who practice magic that I do not that they are wrong. And so, I saw no reason to strike you down. You had done no harm to me or mine." she said with an honest shrug. "There is no point in borrowing trouble you do not need."

"Well it is a prerequisite for all of us to be civil to each other. The brigade functions as a carefully maintained unit. Each being looking out for his fellow brothers and sisters. In this way we keep each other safe. I am probably being watched as we speak." she says into his ear gently. "We've never had a vampire want to join the brigade while I've been here. Its not impossible but they have their own struggles and tend to keep to themselves unless they are out bride or groom raiding."

"It is fine. I'm used to being questioned." she said with a wave of her hand, "You seem like you have been through a lot. Its good to see you retain your good humor i spite of everything." she admitted as she leaned back and relaxed under the tree that they had stopped by.

Sedaiyus sighed faintly as his charms were appreciated but unable to crack the pure soul that Merry was. He would have to try another approach to get what he sought. He was not ready to use his abilities to force Merry to do anything she didn't want to just yet. It just wasn't as sweetly tasting using his powers to accomplish something he knew he could out of pure skill. Sedaiyus gazed in Merry's eyes and spoke softly "You underestimate your worth Merry. I appreciate your display of tolerance as well. But you are much more than you care to admit. You hold remarkable power Merry, just you wait, you will be the most famous mage in all the lands some day." Sedaiyus sat up so that he was face to face with Merry. He had a look of innocence about him as he spoke. "Indeed I have endured much. I wouldn't even know where to begin or how to for that matter describing what it is like to be in the presence of my mother. To know that nothing you do is ever truly by your own will and even when you believe it is, it is simply to serve her. How much pain can be inflicted by getting the very things you believe you want most, how backwards the world can become, how confused and inescapable her grasp upon your very soul. I a light hearted only because I managed to escape but....I cannot shake the feeling that I only escaped because she allowed it, like she is still in control pulling the strings, like I will never truly be free until I rid myself of her. I believe you can help me Merry. But before I explain further, may I trouble you for one request? It has been killing me thus far but I believe my heart can be soothed if I am allowed but one small kiss from you. I have been dying to ask you but dare I say I am a bit intimidated by your beauty to think a lowly demon such as myself could be deserving as such a gesture." Sedaiyus frowned.

If he could bring her to kiss him he could feed of the energy between them. Its something many people underestimated about Sedaiyus. They believed as the demon of lust as long as they didn't sleep with him they could play his games without falling to his power. But it simply required a intimate connection, something as small as a kiss would do. It would make Sedaiyus stronger briefly and enable him the use of a power only mages possessed. If he could use the portals to open the bridge to hell and force his mothers summon and kill her while she was unaware of what was going on he would finally be free. Merry as pure hearted as she was, whoes loyalties lay with the brigade would never consent to opening a portal to hell to summon demons. It was regretful for Sedaiyus to do it. He felt bad which only made him more upset that he felt guilt, a symptom of the humanity within him. He really did like Merry but his freedom and revenge was more important than a pretty gal. If he could, he would return the energy he took to restore Merry but he would have to play this one by year. Sedaiyus waited patiently to see how things would play out. He knew he had but one chance, he couldn't hope to match the power of his mother, he had to take advantage of a surprise attack and any confusion being pulled through a portal would bring. A risk indeed but Sedaiyus felt he could never truly live to the fullest as long as she still sought him out.

She looked into his eyes and sighed softly. He was determined to flatter her with soft compliments and she couldn't figure out why. He didn't need to do such things. He seemed determined and so she smiled softly and shrugged, Time will tell, Sed. I do not see myself as one such but then no one knows what the world thinks of them at the time they live in it."

She tilted her head and listened as he spoke of his mother, "You let her have too much control over your thoughts and deeds. You are your own man, Sed. Seems to me you are doing fine on your own. At his request she shrugged her shoulders, "Very well. One kiss. Though I would think once you've kissed one girl you've kissed them all."

She leaned in for the kiss when he wished to claim it. Not seeing any harm in such a simple request. The breeze blew gently as they sat there.

Sedaiyus grinned wickedly as she agreed to give him the kiss he sought. Sedaiyus leaned in and upon the touch of their lips the very life force of Merry would flow from Merry's lips to Sedaiyus's granting him enhanced ability and in this case a piece of Merry he needed to fulfill his goal, portaling. Sedaiyus's demonic energies could not sustain a portal meant for mages to open, it was a racial ability, thus Sedaiyus required Merry's energy to perform it. The kiss would drain her temporarily of her magic and make her feel like she spent the evening casting spells non stop without rest. Physically she will feel very fatigued because of how much Sedaiyus planned to take and would no doubt feel faint and what Sedaiyus hoped, pass out. It was also possible that Sedaiyus could kill her by doing this though this was not something he was concerned about. If he succeeded, even if she died, as long as he returned her energy moments after he could revive her. Another side effect of this was that Merry would feel unnaturally attracted to Sedaiyus and have a sudden urge to please him. This would fade in time however and since Sedaiyus planned on her being unconscious for most of his activities it was irrelevant as well. Sedaiyus grasped Merry gently as he fed on more and more energy similar to a vampire but he wasn't biting her to suck blood, he was kissing her to feed of her very life essence via the sexual energies provided with the intimate gesture of a kiss. It was almost identical to that of an incubus only Sedaiyus had much more control and power in this particular ability.

Sedaiyus made sure Merry was supported by the tree keeping her at ease as he truly didn't wish to hurt her. He then worked quickly not wanting to delay. The faster he accomplished his goals the faster he would be free and Merry would be safe. Sedaiyus tried to focus on using the portal he wanted to open, he tried his hardest to feel the bond and connection between himself, his hell, and his mother. As Sedaiyus slowly began to manage the portal he could feel his control slipping more and more. This was not a power meant for him to use or his kind and it was not one he was experienced with. It all reality it was a huge risk but one he felt was worth it at any cost. As he struggled to keep a open gateway between the two places he wished he wanted to also open it on the individual he sought to pull through. Sedaiyus could feel himself losing control and growing weaker and weaker as the portal grew more and more out of control. Then something fell through the portal, Sedaiyus didn't know what but he hoped it was what he sought and unable to hold on any longer collapsed gasping unable to keep the portal open any longer. Sedaiyus raised his head and his eyes held great hate within them for what he saw was not his mother but an individual he almost equally wished dead and hoped to never see. His half brother Bacchus, a prodigy of his mother despite her not recognizing him as such, and a terror Sedaiyus learned the hard way that had no mercy for the weak or competition. Bacchus was magnificent in appearance, even compared to the demon of lust Sedaiyus, Bacchus was on a whole different level. His beauty completely unnatural and captivatingly enigmatic. Luckily Bacchus had his own plans and didn't understand what had happened and began to leave. Sedaiyus wanted to kill him but logic dictated otherwise.

At the moment Sedaiyus was severely weakened and even at full power Sedaiyus didn't feel he could defeat his older brother one on one. Also Bacchus failed to recognize Sedaiyus or Merry or the event that just took place and his leaving was most likely best for everyone at the moment. Sedaiyus crawled his way back over to Merry. He connected his lips once more to hers and returned the energy he had taken from her. "I hope you can forgive me love." Sedaiyus passed out next to Merry looking as if he had been beaten and battered. He underestimated the power required to use such an ability and more so the power required for one not adept at using such an ability. Sedaiyus's story would be determined on how much Merry remembered. If she remembered too much, in the state Sedaiyus was in, he would be at her mercy. It was up to fate now.
