Fall 2000 C.E.
Their final hour upon them, humanity takes to the stars in search of a new planet to settle as their own. With the destruction of earth, there is a grim future for the rest of mankind as they desperately cling to their ways. For years they would drift through space aboard their floating colony, food becoming more and more scarce. However one day their salvation would arrive as an odd land mass seemed to be looming ever closer to the ship. They would discover a new home that day, Yalanze- a place where even the most impossible things seemed to be a daily occurance. Upon landing the settlers would make this place their home- only to find that demons had come along for the ride and beaten them to it. The first hardship the Yalanzian people would face were the ravenous hordes of their dead being reanimated by the demons they thought they left behind. However an unlikely hero would rise up out of the humans and unleash an acient power that had been dormant on Yalanze; the power of the planets ancient gods. An avatar was chosen from each of the races upon the surface- turning mortals into beings of immense power.
With this power the heroes of Yalanze would contain the threat of the undead in a place now called Sylthanus- the throne of the vampires. With the threat of the undead contained things would become peaceful once more, until the portals started happening. Unknown to the heroes of Yalanze another power was unleashed, one that granted one woman the power to tear a rift in reality and bring beings from other dimensions to their world. Yalanze would become a terminal for other races and people they never thought could exist. Many would try to obtain that power for themselves but they would be thwarted by a higher power- the "Master of Storms" Lucius would aid the Brigade in keeping her safe. However even his protection has it's limits as civil unrest was brewing within the ranks of the Yalanzian heroes, a massive power play in the making. Whoever controlled the power of the portals could move unrestricted to places in Yalanze that even the gods had never stepped foot- places that contain unimaginable power. Enter a world where even the actions of mere mortals can influence the gods, a world where nothing is impossible. Will you be the hero that bring true peace to Yalanze or the villain to end all villains? In a world where no one is who they seem to be, keep your wits about you, welcome to Yalanze Book One - The Ancient Ones.
