In an effort to help folks know roughly what has transpired on the world thus far I created this timeline. Please consult it when making older characters as the events listed should be referred to in their histories.
EARTH 2265 CE
The humans that landed on Yalanze came from the early 22nd century 2265 CE to be precise. Their world had advanced enough to give them FTL Drives that allowed them to cross vast reaches of space quickly but even with this advancement, after a few centuries they forgot the technologies of their past, indeed, they could not replicate them in any case so there was little point.
As the Yalanzens settled on this new world they found it was lush and green. They built their homes simply and soon found themselves in an age before industrialization. Choosing to live this way rather than go back to the same old problems.
Yalanze 300 CE
Around the year 300 CE for Yalanze they realized something, the dead were rising for some unknown reason. There were zombie attacks that were vicious and brutal but the Yalanzens beat them back and after that began burning the dead save for those who were murdered unknowingly or died on the roads. To this day it is not unheard of to have a zombie sighting from time to time.
The world began to further change the Yalanzens of this world. Some broke off contact and moved to a part of the planet where the moon shone the brightest so it was said. These Yalanzens were so self disciplined that they learned to become one with nature and with practice, changed their forms from Yalanzen into the werewolves of old. This was not without a price however, the change is painful and happens every month whether they wish it or not. Death follows a werewolf as do zombies for no werewolf can ever remember to burn the Yalanzens they kill. Those they do not kill become like those that bit them and so the cycle continued.
Yalanze 700 CE
Vampires emerged from the petrified forest. The descendants of Zombies that had been driven off from the villages and towns, they were smarter, faster and far more deadly then their Zombie and Yalanzen ancestors. They were the first race to master industrialization, setting up factories and towns of their own, and began coaxing humans to come work for them for the promise of riches. Many came and none returned, for the dead give nothing back to those that enter their realm.
Yalanze 1000 CE
Dragons began to manifest in large numbers. Yalanzens aren't sure where they came from it seemed as if they were there overnight. The dragons kept to themselves at first, preferring the homes of their elements, but slowly, they too began to interact with the Yalanzens and established trade with them.
Yalanze 1521 CE
No one knows where the demons came from. Perhaps it was a portal, perhaps they had always been on the planet unnoticed but in 1521 a plague broke out and demons seemed to come out of nowhere. As varied as Yalanzens themselves; they scattered and no one knows if they found a place of their own or if they skirt the edge of Yalanzen Society. They are nomadic at best and tend to inspire others to follow them with a charisma that defies description. Some say the vampires unleashed them, but any vampire they ask looks affronted at the suggestion, considering demons akin to zombies, useful, but too weak minded to do more than give into their emotions.
Yalanze 1525 CE
The Brigade is founded to stop the incursions of other races into the Yalanzen cities. Many that work for the Brigade chafe at the constraints so later that year they pick up stakes and move to where the portals seem to spit out beings regularly. They give their services to the highest bidder and to those that are willing to barter with them. The Yalanzens resist at first, but seeing the other races agreeing with the Brigade, they quickly agree to hire them from time to time to keep themselves from being wiped off the planet.
Yalanze 1621 CE
On a date that most humans could not pronounce, the supernaturals of the planet rose up en masse and declared their independence. They demanded to be acknowledged as sovereign nations in their own right and wanted the right to live as they chose rather than being hunted. Bloodshed occurred in vast numbers, and the vampires gained many into their ranks as the dead began to rise after they fell. The races fought to a draw for 300 years and few have forgotten the wars.
Yalanze 1990 CE
Distrust is in the air, and an uneasy truce has been formed. The Brigade membership is at its highest numbers since its founding. Yalanzens are still fearful of technology, and the Vampires have industrialization on their side, living in mansions and luxury that many Yalanzens secretly envy. The werewolves are ever distrustful and follow their ways as always and the dragons, well few humans have seen them so no one knows what they think.
Today: Yalanze 2000 CE
The dawning of the new millennium has brought changes to almost every Species. Whispers that the Elder Gods are on the move fills the air. Everyone is older and wiser and as a necessity more cunning. There are prophecies of doom and glory and no one knows which will come to pass. The Vampires have gone to war with the Dragons over the death of their Queen and many lives have been lost but is she really dead or has more transpired than was first apparent?
