Training and Conversation (Maximus)

It was good to get back to the comfort of things that were familiar. She didn't know how long she would stay here but one thing was for certain, she wasn't going to let herself get out of shape while she made up her mind. She'd been working hard at the hand to hand combat classes she'd taken, never knowing if she might be attacked as a way to get back at the dragons or because it would give someone control over her and so, she practiced continually, her wits honed by years of having to know where she was and where she was going.

Today she was supposed to be starting a new class and she had no idea who the instructor was. All she knew was that he had been with the brigade a long time and that he was supposedly very good. With this in mind, she had made sure to do her stretches and warm ups, not knowing if he was the kind to jump right into things or if he'd make her run around the track for hours on end first.

Her outfit was basic, a set of drawstring pants and a blue tank top and sports bra. Something she could move in and not be hindered when she needed to do something. She hoped it wasn't too shocking for the new instructor but after dealing with the heat of the Reunification ceremony she wanted to be able to feel the air around her as she moved. Her hair was braided in a crown on her head so it was out of the way and as she looked at her reflection she was pleased to see she looked at least somewhat confident as she stood there.

He woke up this morning ready for the day he knew that he had to train a new recruit who this new recruit was? He had no idea. Nevertheless he was prepared this wasn't his first time training a soldier and it surely wouldn't be his last as The commander of the brigade. He was just simply he headed out to the training yard with everything he would need for the day. As he approached the yard he began to get a view of the person he would train. She was easy on the eyes but that would do her no favours today. If she was going to learn to survive and she would need more than her looks to help her along. Once he got a bit closer he threw the bag down and greeted her. "good morning" he gave her a brief smile in greeting.

Her instructor wasn't necessarily a surprise to her. Many of their kind worked within the brigade to get away from the politics or just their situations in their life. The Brigade offered a new life to those who desired it and even she could respect that. Here she had no one yelling at her because she disagreed with them and generally folk were friendlier over all.

"Kul feyl, Mindopah." she said with a respectful fist to her chest in salute and a bow. "Dii vor los Lilah Dovah Viing." A smile graced her lips. She had no idea what he would expect of her and so she waited quietly, hands folded respectfully in front of herself as she awaited his instruction. She knew every instructor had a different style and way to their training. She wondered what his would be.

Given how agressive everyone was being Luna felt she had to defend herself. The fire dragons thought to rule over the other clans and she didn't think it boded well for any of them. Deep down in her heart she feared that Samael would get them all killed. The insanity that seemed to follow him everywhere he went never seemed to end and it frightened her. The fact he expected instant obedience and did not brook disagreement did not make him look like leadership material in her eyes. A strong dragon was able to handle dissent within his Council and respected it for the alternative to his plans that it was.

She doubted Samael thought of anything along those lines. It made her sad and feel guilty that she had even helped him achieve what he had. She didn't know what she could have done differently. He was strong enough that he could have claimed the air stone by force and killed many of her people. Inwardly she sighed and shook her head. She needed to clear her mind for the coming lesson. It would help focus her.
