The fires inside of Samael burned at his core with ferocity. Were it not for the fact that he had long since mastered his anger, and was able to use it when needed, he would have already offered the Celestial the chance to voice her warnings in combat. However, such thoughts were of lower beings that held no true grip on the sword that was their rage. Instead, his inner fires were directed to a better goal. One that would allow him to destroy any doubt in the Celestial’s mind of the type of being Samael was. “Your warnings...are noble,” Samael sighed as he admitted to the Celestial that her worries were understandable, “but I think you and I both know that although you believe that it is a bad idea for the power to return to me, I am the only one who is capable of wielding such power. Many, I have heard, wielded these stones in my absence, and not one was ever able to fully handle the power without quickly being overloaded by the power. Yet, I have more pressing matters to attend to, besides dealing with a clan of paranoid agents of the gods. So, I offer something that will possibly ease your mind.”
Samael walked towards one of the Fire Dragons that accompanied him and whispered into their ear. Turning to the other Fire Dragon, he then whispered in his ear as well. Immediately, the two turned to leave the building and were already airbound and away from the Sky Castles before the doors closed again. Sitting back in his own chair again, he took a drink from his goblet, sat the cup back down and took a bite of his apple. “I have sent both to Firegorge Mountain to send my wishes to the Fire and Earth Clan Elders. They are then to go to Brigade and seek out your Commander Bellator Draconis, where they will relay my wishes and request to him. Those wishes are, that Brigade will take into their keeping the remaining stones, so that nobody, be they ally or enemy, can acquire the stones.” Samael spoke to Luna, and indirectly, to the Celestial, “I will temporarily relinquish my conquest of the stones, in exchange to finish the final conquest to unify the lands. However, the Celestials must agree to unify as well. With each clan unified into the Junaar’Dov, I will agree to a member of each clan to be part of my council, to advise and to speak for the people. If Brigade wishes, they are welcomed to a seat in council, given the times of war that we are in.” It was a great offer, if the Celestial agreed. To this end, it would give her clan a peace of mind over Samael, but it would also allow Samael to finally achieve all that he wanted, and avoid internal wars. To this end, there would be a council of powerful dragons that together would be all the more equal to Samael in terms of the kingdom’s policies. It would also prevent any infighting of the clans.
“There is but another thing that I will need assistance in, if it is my true power that you are so afraid of.” He spoke, “In my time during my Rites, I received visions of everything that would come to pass in my immediate future. There was vision of someone who would rival my power, but would not lead to ruin, but rather balance. Find this “Other” and send them to me.” Bringing the parchment that he had presented Luna earlier, he placed his hand upon the parchment and uttered, “Hah’Pel!” The writing on the parchment began to vanish, but as quickly as it vanished, new words were written upon it. Upon the parchment, was everything that had been previously written on the parchment in the unification of the Air Dragons, but with the added features for the rest of the clans, including Celestials. It included the agreements and rules to acquiring the stones, and what was expected of everyone.
“If these new terms are agreeable, then feel free to sign to seal our pact.” Samael said softly, “As furious as I am towards your clan, I do not wish bloodshed on kin, especially when a mutual enemy is involved. ‘The Enemy of My Enemy’ afterall.”
