There was much to consider in all of this. Even if his judgement did not seem fair he knew it was accurate. Perhaps it was not? Normally he never questioned the course his choices lead him on as he was sure of himself. Vlad was never one to falter in his immortal life, when he found the path he walked it until the end revealed it's self. This was no different than any other choice he was forced to make until this point. Regardless of why she left, she chose to abandon her duty and the people she had a duty to. They were monsters but they were not without the promise of something much more than what they were now. They could be redeemed in the eyes of the world and Ingeras was going to be the one to do so he knew it.
"I am far from kind. Perhaps you may not see it but you are all to close to me to see my true nature." he said. She chose to ignore it but he knew she knew what he did to those he called enemies behind closed doors. He was a monster in his own right, going out of his way to make sure those who threatened his crown suffered. What she spoke of he was far from the point in which he felt he would suffer something of the sort to pass. Even if he spoke of her in such a way now, she was still his daughter and no man would lay a hand on her.
As she tugged at his hand he looked down at her inquisitively as she seemed poised to take to the skies. There was a moment in which he felt that he did not have to think about the events of the night and that he could be here. Yet it all came crashing back down upon him, still she made a very valid point. In the sky the troubles of the kingdom would seem much smaller and so Vlad released her hand and stepped forward onto the balcony. Never before had he used these new found limbs to fly, before he flew by his own will. Yet that power seemed to be replaced by a new form that he could not truly tell if he was in control of yet.
Spreading his dark wings wide, Vlad took to the skies with what seemed like ease. Yet on the inside he was concentrating a bit more than he once had. It was strange to try and use wings as if they were an extension of his own form. What was also strange was feeling the warmth of the sun against his own skin. This feeling was denied to him for so long and now he was immune to the harmful rays the fiery orb emitted.
"It's been so long since I have felt the suns warmth."
