Merry continued to fight as best she could given the salvos that were going back and forth between her and the witches. The difficulty was that she did not have eyes in the back of her head and could only protect Chris and herself so much before she fell behind on one or the other.

Right now, she was fighting for her own life. She saw Chris get hurt and she went to help him. Backing up a bit to keep herself in a position of strength. Not wanting her back to be exposed to injury.

With her help Chris managed to stab one in the chest. She fell to the ground. But he was not willing to find out if she was dead. He had to get to this mother. If they killed her too. He pushed that thought out of his mind. And trusted the guards to do their job.

"When have to get to the Queen," He shouted as he dodge another fire ball. Luckily he knew the castles secrets. He managed to get away long enough to push on an angel statue in the garden. A small section of the stone wall opened.

"Come on." He took her by the hand. Once they were both inside he pushed a stone and the door shut.

They were in a darkened hall way. And alone. He took a moment to lean against the wall. His shirt burned and the skin beneath it was covered in blisters. He winced at the pain as he looked down at it. With only one thought on his mind. Finding his mother. He would have to deal with the pain as a small set back.

"Merry? Are you alright?" He asked softly as he looked into her lovely eyes. If something would happen to her. But she was the strongest women he had ever met. And the most powerful on the side of good.
